ITEMS TO HAVE READY TO SUPPORT CLAIM. Your insurance company will require you to submit photos of the damages (even photos from your phone are good enough), any proof of persons you hired to stop the damages or assist you (ie. plumber), estimates for complete repairs, payments you may have made for any repairs, all documents and records in support of your claim should be kept in one place to provide to us to successfully get full reimbursement for your loss.
Your insurance company requires you to notify them of a claim within days of the loss. Whether a first-party claim for property damages or a liability claim that may be brought by a third party. It’s better to be safe than sorry. If you believe you have a loss – call your insurance company or your insurance agent and let them know about the loss. Give them a “brief” description of the loss you believe you have INCURRED. They will give you a “claim” number that you will need.
